AppearanceAsher has a nice body, its lean and built, he has a six pack and muscles. He takes great pride in his body which he has worked hard to get. With his Construction job he works hard which has built up his upper body, and for the rest he works out at the gym three or four times a week. He has a bit of a baby face, so he usually tends to have a little bit of facial hair to make him look older. He keeps his hair about the medium to short range though he sometimes gets bored with it and shaves it all off.
HistoryThe youngest in his family, Asher had a pretty happy childhood. He was the product of a perfect match. Sure at first Gabriel and Nora Donovan didn’t like each other but that was because of the fact that they were pretty opposed to the draft in the start, but once they put their opinions aside they realized that they were more alike than they had originally thought. Then they fell head over heels in love with each other. His entire life and even to this day, Asher has always been a mama’s boy. Every since he was a young child until he went to school he would follow his mother around like a lost puppy, and being the baby of the family he got most of the attention.
His two older brothers would constantly tease him about how attached he was to his mother as a child. This was probably the start of how despite how much he hates it, Asher has always been the comedic relief for his family because everyone except his mother constantly teases him.
However, after he started to attend school and got a chance to socialize more with boys his own age he quickly grew out of the habit of being his mother’s shadow. Though he still is quite the mama’s boy to this day, he feels it’s a healthier attachment. Family is and always will be important to him. Sunday night dinner is a big and very important staple in his family. Asher never misses one, because family is very important to him.
His mother was a homemaker, his father refused to let her work. His owns his own construction company. His older brothers went off to be a Lawyer and a Doctor. But Asher felt like he didn’t have the brains to do do what his brothers could do and the aptitude test proved him right when it put him into construction. While Asher is smart, in his own right he never felt like he quite measured up to his brothers level of intelligence, maybe because he didn’t care enough to apply himself.
This placement made him very happy because he was following in his father’s footsteps. He found that he liked being outside and working with his hands more than being brainy and working with people. He currently works along side of his father, but he’s hoping that one day his father will trust him enough to retire and allow him to take over the family business.
The only place that Asher did apply himself was during his sponsoring. He took it as a point of pride to learn everything he could so that he would be able to please his future wife. At first, he took advantage of the fact that he was allowed to choose different sponsor if he wanted to. He decided that he wanted to take a few for a “test drive” to see he found one that he liked better. After a few sessions, he met what he considered to be the perfect match in Mira. She was a little older than he was and he felt that she was more knowledgeable than some of the other’s that he had experienced.
He cherished his time with her, not in an overly attached lovey way but in the fact that she fulfilled his needs and taught him everything there was about pleasing a woman. Because in Asher’s opinion the most important part of a marriage is pleasing his wife. He saw Mira s much as he could and after his year was up he continued to see her for a long as he was allowed. In a way, she became his best friend. But this maybe because he credits her with helping him become a man.
Last year when they introduced the microchips Asher was admittedly pretty creeped out and skeptical about it, having someone track all of his movements and activities weirded him out. He can sometimes be resistant to change when he doesn’t fully understand everything about something. All it took was for his brother (the doctor) to explain the benefits of having the microchip and he was on board. Asher isn’t really the type of citizen to rock the boat, maybe it's the mama’s boy in him. But he typically tends to do what he’s told without question though, he might reach out to his brother's who he feels are smarter than him to point him in the right direction.
Asher could be considered kind of a homebody. He mainly goes to work, comes home, goes to his sponsoring or to his parents house for family dinners. The one thing he does enjoy doing with his free time is going to the gym. He started going to the gym to be active and improve his help, but after a few months it became an obsession, something to help him clear his mind.Though he’s admittedly not much of a thinker, he feels like he does his best thinking while he’s working out.
Like most people, there are two sides to Asher’s personality, the child who loves to have fun and joke around. He loves to be silly and at times not take things seriously. Saturday morning cartoons are one of his favorite things in the world. You can find him sitting on the couch in front of the television with the biggest bowl in the kitchen, filled to the brim with a mixture of coco puffs and lucky charms. He likes to have a good time and believes laughing is the number one key to lead a happy and a successful life.
But then there’s the other side of him. The guy who knows that there are times when you need to be serious and take things seriously… This side of him usually only comes out when he’s at work or dealing with important matters. At work, he knows the perfect balance between being silly and enjoying himself, but being serious and getting the job done. He knows how to take charge of a situation and get things done. He’s the guy you can turn to and trust will get things done and not screw you over to do it.
Overall he’s a decent guy, but like everyone else can kind of come off like a jerk. This usually tends to happen when you catch him on a bad day, or when he’s got his mind “in the zone”. Around the guy’s he tries to come off like “Mr. Tough Guy” but really he’s just a sweet teddy bear. Though, when pushed to it, he can have a nasty temper and is not above throwing a couple punches if he needs to.
