PersonalityGenerous, with her time and possessions. Really good at sharing. She likes being helpful, but sometimes makes promises or starts projects only to get overwhelmed. She also gets flustered if she feels like others aren't pushing their weight or working as hard as she is.
Capricious, has a volatile nature. She can go from seeming breezy to high-strung. It's sugar, spice and all things nice, until she gets upset. Her temperamental ways can lend over to shocking behavior.
Artistic, enjoys painting, and has a love of blending patterns and colors. She makes her own stencils, and will happily spend hours painting baseboards of walls, or making over vintage furniture. Take her to a craft store and she'll love you for life.
AppearanceStanding at about 5'6'', Dylan has a naturally wispy build, with slender arms and legs. She's quite comfortable with her svelte figure, using it to her advantage. Fair complexion, dark eyes, set in an oval shaped face, there's a certain innocence to her features, often belied by her expressions. She tries her utmost to be fashionable, and eagerly follows trends. Her hair style, length and color tends to change, so looking back through family photos is always interesting. More often than not, her hair is on the longer side, so it can be fixed a variety of ways. She's pron to obsess a bit over her appearance, takes awhile to get ready, and pick out clothes. Loves jewelry, accessories and hats. Dylan uses her hands very expressively when speaking, and has a sweet smile.
HistoryDylan Paris was born the sixth child of Carson Acidalia, the third with his second wife, Nichole. Being born after the twins made Dylan seem a bit redundant growing up. The third wheel, if you will. She was often tagging after her siblings like a lost little kitten, a kitten that was ready to scratch and claw for attention. In that sense, Dylan was always flippant. One minute she was sweet, the next, doing something shocking. It was hard to gauge her moods, and better to not even try.
Dylan's mother died in a car accident when she was a year old, so she had no memory of Nichole. Stepmom, Marian, was the one around, but little half-sister Daphne came along so quick, Dylan had barely time to learn to walk, much less, be the baby in the family. Two more adopted sisters, Morriagan and Macha, were added a couple of years later, then at age 6, Dylan got her bracelet and was off to school.
If there was anyone Dylan looked up to, it was her eldest half-sister, Helen. She seemed the only decent role model to be had, so Dylan latched on to her. She would always run to Helen to have her fears soothed, or when her homework was too difficult. Helen had a stable presence that Dylan idolized growing up, unlike her stepmoms or whoever else was in the Acidalia household at one time or another.
School days at St. Martha's were fairly typical, Dylan was an average student. She seemed well adjusted, and got decent grades. She would get in trouble for doing something naughty once in awhile, like putting bubblegum in a class mate's hair, or hitting someone with a mixing spoon during cooking class. Small transgressions, nothing big enough to alert a serious problem. Her attitude was repetitive, though she would point out, she had only acted in retaliation of annoyance or some other mean-spirited slight.
When her exit exam rolled around, Dylan didn't do as well as Nova, but she did amazing compared to other class-mates. Scoring an even 80, she could have done a lot worse. Or at least, that's what Dylan tired to keep in mind. Her overall disappointment was hard felt, nonetheless. She had hoped to excel, and graduate with acclaim.
Since she would not be drafted until she was 20 years old, Dylan found herself back home in Old Town. Her dad reported the new stepmom for adultery, which was quite the scandal, and left her new baby brother, Angus, without a mother. News, and gossip about her older siblings' lives left Dylan feeling a bit left out. Out of boredom, Dylan began picking up some new interests, such as tarot reading. Nurturing belief in superstitions, she found astrology fascinating. Cultivating old hobbies, like painting or jewelry making, offered her some creative outlets.
Once the mircochip program rolled out, Dylan was apprehensive. The sensor bracelet had been part of her existence for so long, having it taken away made her nervous. With the chip implanted, she still found herself rubbing at her wrist, feeling odd. The feeling subsided, and from a fashionable point of view, she started to prefer the switch.
Receiving the first of her draft packets, Dylan started piecing together her future husband's file. Over big bowls of sherbet, she studied the file... feeling overwhelmed. Although, school was entirely focused on the preparation for becoming a wife, now that the time had come for her to actually get married, she found it surreal.
Her husband was a famous actor Frank Athens.
Not making the best first impression, the couple didn't click. Regardless, she remained starry-eyed over the prospects of attending events and parties, buying into the frivolous benefits of being the wife of a movie star. Dylan busied herself with picking out decor for her new home, a home which her husband was seldom at. Her suspicions began to rise that Frank was dissatisfied with her and having an affair to compensate. In the end, it made no difference. Frank was killed in a freak accident while filming a stunt scene for an up-coming picture.
The media buzzed over Frank's death, and Dylan was sent home to await another draft. Her second packet came sooner than she expected. Dylan wasn't too thrilled at the prospect of re-marrying. Not even her tarot cards seemed to offer any comfort. Her first draft had been a colossal failure, what would make this time any different? Maybe Dylan just isn't cut out for this whole 'wife' thing...
She knocking on wood, just in case.
