AppearanceLilli is petite and curvy, with curly hair and big brown eyes
HistoryLillibee was the first child of Trevor and Josephine Halloran. Trevor and Jo have been part of the Renegades movement for as long as Lilli can remember, and have never tried to hide it from her. She grew up being taught the philosophy of the group- that it was important to teach people the truth about the Trust and the Draft because informed citizens are the only way to achieve freedom. They told her how things used to be, before the Trust, when people were free to live their lives the way they wanted, and that if enough people believed and worked enough, they could all be free again. They never told her about the Radicals. It was years before she learned that there was another Revolution group, and she still doesn't know what exactly they do, or why they don't work together.
Trevor and Jo dreaded the day their daughter got her bracelet and went off to Portscrest, afraid that even if she managed not to give away their Renegade status, spending all that time under the care and tutelage of the Trust would stomp out her own rebellious spirit. In fact, the opposite happened. Lilli rejected the teachings, equating the school with a "wife factory", and made herself known as a trouble-maker at a young age. After a few serious run-ins with the administration in her early years, and a serious talking-to with her parents, Lilli learned to control herself a little, and now she's become adept at walking the line between being herself and getting herself expelled.
Instead, she channeled her energy into helping her parents and the Renegades. With the Trust watching the Internet and electronic communications more and more in recent years, the group has had to rely on more old-fashioned means. This allowed Lilli to finally take an active role, as a messenger for her parents and their allies. Most law enforcement isn't looking at innocent-looking young girls as possible Revolution members, and Lilli was happy to use this to her advantage, to do her part for the cause. Unfortunately, that job had an expiration date. There came a time when Lilli didn't look like a child anymore, and she was no longer beneath suspicion. Lilli feels like she's been pushed out of the Renegades, if not officially than at least practically. She's both too old and too young to be useful. It's terrifying. She spends all week at school, in the shadow of the Trust and all they stand for. If she has no way to fight against it, what's to stop it all from swallowing her up?
Lillibee's little sister, Melody, was born in August 2189, when Lilli was sixteen. It was a big adjustment for all involved, and even now Lilli will only grudgingly admit that she loves her baby sister. A couple of months later, it was time for Lilli to take her exit exam. Her parents had to convince her to do her best, but probably nobody expected how good that would be. She got a 91, and began receiving bits of her draft packet soon after. She wasn't ready for it, or for what it said: that her future husband was Ezekiel Matheson, an old friend of her parents' and a cop at that.
In the year while she was waiting for her draft day, things were turned completely upside-down by the Ashpoint Incident. The selfish, destructive assholes of the Radicals blew up the mall, killed a bunch of cops, and basically destroyed their hometown. Lilli remembers being awoken by the rumble of the underground explosion and the family gathering in the living room to watch the unfolding news coverage. Before long, there was a government official knocking on their door. Lillibee was on the verge of a panic attack, thinking that it was the moment she had been dreading her entire life, until the man told them that the town was being evacuated and directed them to pack their things as quickly as possible.
They left Ashpoint in a tide of refugees alongside all of their friends and neighbors.
It wasn't until the next morning that the final details of the situation became clear, and they learned that Ezekiel was safe and alive. She was surprised by how strong her relief was. She had spent months resenting him for the whole draft debacle, and that feeling would later return, but in that moment she was just relieved by every familiar face that they saw.
Even over a year later, Lillibee hasn't adjusted to life in Tidewater. She misses Ashpoint more than she could have imagined, and has met precious few Tidewater natives that she likes. As far as she can tell, all of them see the Ashpointers as criminals or invaders, so why should she try being nice to them when she doesn't want to be there in the first place? Her draft day did nothing to help. One day she was a refugee in a strange town, the next she was a newlywed being stuffed into a new house with a man who was literally her parents' age. Big upgrade. It would probably help if she had something to do, but she hasn't been properly involved in the revolution in years, both because she was matched with a cop and because the Ashpoint resistance has fractured since the Incident. Now she's just a wife. It's exactly what the Trust has always wanted for her, and she hates it.
