WELCOME

The year is 2192.

The country is the United States.

The current regime, The Trust, has been in power for over one hundred years.

The Trust takes care of you from cradle to grave--they provide you with housing, education, jobs, vehicles--but, in exchange, they control everything about your life. What color car you will drive. Where you will live. And, most important of all: who you will marry and how many children you will have.

Do you fight them or favor them?

Appearance

Kirkland usually holds a very serious look on his face, but when he's relaxed he can have a goofy little grin on his lips. He's only 5' 10" and weighs roughly 155 pounds. He has an athletic build, but doesn't work out very often at all. Light brown hair and blue grey eyes feature prominently. He usually has a weeks worth of scruff on his face, which he forgets to trim up or shave unless Zoey reminds him.

History

Kirkland is the second child and only son of Hampton and Leanna Dallas. He has one older sister that he has spent a good portion of his life looking up to in one way or the other. He knew from an early age that there were different expectations for both him and Amelia. He was a smart kid, picking up on things incredibly quick his teachers told his parents. He built things with his blocks that no other kid in preschool were building. He colored in the lines. And he took instantly to reading as soon as he was taught it.

Kirkland quickly took to science the moment it was introduced to him. Everything that he could learn about the ecosystem was just so interesting to him. He would get his mom to take him to the library at least twice a week to get new books or reread ones that had been favorites. And favorite books always tended to be of the science nature.

As his time in high school came to an end, Kirkland took his aptitude test. He scored high in the science category and was placed into pharmacology. More school! He was excited and couldn't wait to see what all he could learn. It was going to be an exciting journey for him and he got to continue learning more and more about everything science related.

On his eighteenth birthday, he had his first sponsorship appointment. He wasn't too excited about it because he was so unsure of himself around women. He went through the motions and continued to go to all of his appointments to keep his mother and father from questioning him about them. Each appointment was scheduled on a day when he wasn't in class or didn't have a lab. He wanted to focus on his studies not on how some woman thought she could please him. Chemical equations were much more interesting to him, but he did attempt to put in the effort.

He got drafted for the first time while he was attending college. The slightly older woman didn't really pull his attention though. Kirkland continued to work on his chemical equations and fell asleep at their kitchen table more times than his wife could count. Feeling like he wasn't giving her what she wanted in the bedroom, she sought out comfort in the arms of an older more experienced man. The affair lasted for a few months before it was discovered. Kirklands wife and her lover were executed and he found himself alone.

It made his life much easier, gave him all the time he could want to study. He knew that he was on the way to making a breakthrough on a new drug. Something that he was sure all the teens would enjoy immensely, but he kept it to himself. He kept his notes and equations on it all hidden and under lock and key. He didn't have a lab that he could work his research. He certainly couldn't work on this new drug in the lab at work. Not somewhere he was monitored as he worked on other drugs that would be used in hospitals or sold over the counter.

He arrived home late one night to discover his latest draft notification. It's not that he is upset at the fact that his space is about to be invaded once again, he just doesn't know how to react around women. He's going to finish up his schooling and do his best to keep this wife happy. Kirkland doesn't want to see another woman executed because he doesn't pay her the attention she wants.
