WELCOME

The year is 2192.

The country is the United States.

The current regime, The Trust, has been in power for over one hundred years.

The Trust takes care of you from cradle to grave--they provide you with housing, education, jobs, vehicles--but, in exchange, they control everything about your life. What color car you will drive. Where you will live. And, most important of all: who you will marry and how many children you will have.

Do you fight them or favor them?

Appearance

Amelia is average height standing at 5'5" without her heels on. She likes purple dresses and has a love of large necklaces that renders all other accessories unnecessary. Her dresses tend to be lower cut to make room for her necklaces, but if she can style it with something more modest she will. As for her figure, she tries her best to keep it attractive for her husband, she also really enjoys pancakes and bacon which leaves her firmly in the realm of average.

History

Amelia was the second child of Mayor Richard Zollmann of West Haven, Connecticut. Her older brother was already in school by the time he was married. Her parents were older when she was born. Her father’s first wife had died and he had been quite devoted to her, waiting a long time before having children with his second. When Amelia was a few month old her biological mother passed. She was immediately replaced with a new perfect step-mother, who never had her own children, just adopted the previous two. Amelia always counted her step-mother as her mother.

During her young life she was very supportive of her father’s career. Appearing with their family as an exemplary members of society. And they were. Her mother was a perfect housekeeper, wife, and mother and volunteered when she could. Her father ran the town as the Trust dictated. They went to church, their son got perfect grades and Amelia could make the perfect casserole before she was six.

After she turned six and was fitted with her sensor bracelet and went to school her involvement lessened slightly. Holidays and weekends were full of volunteering with her step-mother and being a member of West Haven’s first family. Her school career was equally perfect, straight A’s, never a toe out of line. She always had to look her best, be her best, and represent her family well. There was no option less than perfection.

Her first draft packet came when she was eighteen. Jonathan Lowe was a young politician. He had graduated with a degree in political science and was given the perfect wife as a reward. He had grown up in West Haven, and her father was happy to have a son-in-law to mentor in the same career path.

Outside their home, Jon and Amelia were the perfect draft couple. They were doting but never overly public displays of affection. However, inside their home, Jon was a controlling husband. He would not let Amelia leave the house without him, he chose the outfits she wore, voted yes or no, mostly no, on the meal plans she gave him, approved or disapproved, mostly disapproved, of her friends and who she could spend time with. His controlling attitude was even worse in the bedroom. He had preferences that bordered into uncomfortable for her, demanding her submissiveness, to which she complied, she just never really enjoyed.

The were married for four years before she got pregnant. And then only for five months after that. She had been worried she couldn’t get pregnant, and Jon had expressed similar concerns, but then she found herself pregnant with twins. At nineteen weeks pregnant, Jon was driving them to a doctor’s appointment, when their car was run off the road. Her husband was killed in the accident, and she miscarried while recovering in the hospital a few days later. She was never all that sad to lose Jon, even if the loss of her children was hard.

Her father expressed some concern for his daughter’s safety, and when a few months later her new draft letter came, he seemed relieved that she was being sent away from West Haven. While Amelia is apprehensive about her move and about losing her bracelt for a chip, she is rather glad for a chance of pace. A new place where she’s more than the mayor’s daughter, and a potential candidate’s wife. She wants a normal, quiet life with her normal husband and maybe to successfully have normal children with him.
