The year is 2192.

The country is the United States.

The current regime, The Trust, has been in power for over one hundred years.

The Trust takes care of you from cradle to grave--they provide you with housing, education, jobs, vehicles--but, in exchange, they control everything about your life. What color car you will drive. Where you will live. And, most important of all: who you will marry and how many children you will have.

Do you fight them or favor them?

Sassy, Spunky, All around funtimes.
Addictive nature (Syn, exercise)

With spouse - HBIC in private. In public, she is the perfect loving, doting, demure wife.

Healthy. Five three and a half. That half is important! About 120-ish pounds. Not waif, not chubby. Blonde hair most of the time, sometimes she puts color in for fun.

With a family as large as the Bascom’s, it was easy to get lost in the middle section. Sure, the kids came at odd intervals, and Sapphire was always a bit closer to her natural brothers versus the half siblings that came later. That shifted a bit when she was shuffled off to boarding school and Opal and Pearl were there to show her the ropes and get her settled in. Ruby had them all in hand as well, although she was farther ahead the the other three girls.

Weekends were precious, as she got to roughhouse with her brothers and be more of the tomboy she liked to be. They roped her into trying different kinds of backyard sports, baseball, football, soccer, just running. It was a happy childhood.

At 10, Talia entered their lives, and Sapphire began to act more ladylike. She wanted to impress this woman so that she’d stick around. She didn’t quite understand death, just knowing that her mother and the next ‘mother’ had gone away and not come back. Over the next seven years, she perfected the Stepford wife mentality and passed her exam with a perfect score.

On her 18th birthday, she was drafted to Kevin Miller. At first, Sapphire thought everything was wonderful, but slowly, Kevin began to change. They were always perfect in front her family, but things inside the walls of their own home were very different. Kevin began to demand things of her that she wasn’t ready for. He was into things that were on the slightly shady side of the law, smoking real cigarettes, drinking real alcohol, and had a couple of tattoos that he kept well hidden. His access to such things was questioned, but the answers were vague and nothing she could get enough proof to turn him in for.

Three years in, Sapphire finally got pregnant, only to have a miscarriage (doctor induced due to a defect). She fell into a depression, and Kevin wasn’t much help, offering her the alcohol as a way out. It was during this time that he talked her into getting a tattoo. She’d resisted vehemently at first, but he got her very drunk one night, and she finally gave in. Almost before she knew what was happening, one of his rather scruffy looking friends was tugging at her skirt, Kevin was holding her down, and the string of the needle was biting into her hip. She cried and whimpered through the whole thing, although she didn’t dare to scream. Now she sports a tiny, but well rendered set of angel wings with the name Aquamarine beneath.

After all of this, Sapphire began to indulge more in her husband’s lifestyle. After all, being the perfect wife had netted her nothing. About a year after the miscarriage, Kevin began to make comments about her weight, and at first, she ignored him. Then one day, she got on the scale and was horrified that she’d gained almost twenty pounds from the day she’d been drafted. She got back into sports, playing tennis and doing some long distance running. Due to the new regimen of exercise and being healthier, she switched to Syn over the real alcohol. Still, she drank a lot of it, and was frequently drunk around the house.

She was drunk on Syn when the police came to tell her that Kevin had been arrested for his second DUI. Given that it was real alcohol, it was a death sentence. Nothing really was helped by the fact that he had a prior Syn DUI as well.

All of that was just over a year ago, and sneaking Syn is a lot tricker living with her father. But her new packet has started to arrive, and she’s looking forward to the freedom to indulge herself once again.
